A source from Hespress revealed that the organizers of the Mawazine festival have not contacted Saad Lamjarred or his management for a possible performance at the festival, which kicks off in June.
The Moroccan singer recently caused controversy on social media after expressing his desire to return to the Moroccan concert scene. This led activists to launch a petition to ban the artist from performing on Moroccan stages.
The same source noted that Lamjarred has no performances planned in Morocco for the near future.
Moreover, the singer’s temporary legal permission, which he obtained more than a year ago amid his ongoing legal case in France, expires at the end of May. This requires his return to French territory.
