A recent academic study has revealed that the use of artificial intelligence is widespread in academic and scientific research in Morocco.

The study showed that 67% of higher education teachers in Morocco use artificial intelligence-based applications, reflecting the level of integration of this technology into the educational process.

The study found that “ChatGPT” is the most popular application among Moroccan students, with surveys indicating that a large percentage of them use it for various study assignments.

The study included a survey targeted at doctoral and bachelor students, showing that 44% of doctoral students and 40% of bachelor students are familiar with AI tools and believe that these can enhance learning.

Students admitted to using these applications for tasks such as searching for information, translations, and improving writing and formulation.

However, some students expressed concerns about the possibility of using AI for cheating or laziness, emphasizing the need to use it in a responsible and conscious manner.

The study also indicated that some students used AI applications in developing methodologies for their university research.

This study points to the rapid development of the use of artificial intelligence in various sectors, including higher education.

It is expected that this technology will play a significant role in developing the educational process and improving the quality of results in the future.
