The Moroccan Muay Thai team won 5 medals, including three gold, one silver, and one bronze medal, at the World Championships held from May 30 to June 10 in the Greek city of Patras.
The precious metal for Morocco at this event, organized by the International Federation of Muay Thai, was won by Khaoula Daakani (+75 kg), Soumia Tlaoui (-71 kg), and Khelthoum Akhlouf (-48 kg).
The silver medal was won by Douaa Akhlouf (-60 kg), while Mohamed Yassine Mahssoune secured the bronze medal (-67 kg).
The national participants were accompanied by coach Lahcen Ouassou and national team coach Jaouad Khouya.
Moroccan officiating was also represented at these World Championships by Hicham Jouabri and Mustapha Ghename.
