World leaders have extended their sincere condolences to King Mohammed VI following the passing of his mother, Princess Lalla Latifa.

The news of the princess’s passing has led to a wave of sympathy and support for the Moroccan royal family worldwide.

In a message addressed to the king, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune said: “I have learned with great sadness of the passing of your mother, who has returned to her Creator and Benefactor… On behalf of myself and the Algerian people, I extend my most sincere condolences.”

The President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, also offered his condolences to King Mohammed VI on the passing of his mother, Princess Lalla Latifa.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, sent similar messages to the monarch.

King Abdullah II of Jordan also sent a telegram to King Mohammed VI of Morocco, expressing his condolences on the passing of his mother. In the telegram, the Jordanian monarch, on behalf of the people and government of Jordan, extended his sympathy to the Moroccan monarch, the royal family, and the Moroccan people, on the passing of Princess Lalla Latifa.

Meanwhile, the British Embassy in Morocco has announced that it will lower its flags to half-mast at all its diplomatic missions in Morocco in honor of the memory of Princess Lalla Latifa, who passed away earlier today.
