Triumphs in Major Competitions and Special Celebrations for the Champions Worldwide The players of the national football team have achieved success on all fronts, having shone at their clubs and won continental and international competitions, with the most recent accolade being Ibrahim Diaz’s UEFA Champions League title with his club Real Madrid.

The “Atlas Lions of Morocco” made their mark in various competitions, where Diaz was preceded by Sofiane Rahimi, who won the AFC Asian Cup with his club Al Ain from the United Arab Emirates, and Reda Slim who won the CAF Champions League with his club Al Ahly from Egypt, while Osama El Idrissi won the CONCACAF Champions League. Ayoup El Kaabi and Youssef El Arabi won the UEFA Europa Conference League.

In European competitions, Diaz won the Spanish league with his club Real Madrid, as well as the Copa del Rey, and Achraf Hakimi won the French league and the French Super Cup with Paris Saint-Germain. Amin Adli won the German league and cup, and Ismael El Sahibari won the Dutch league and cup with PSV Eindhoven, while Ayoup El Kaabi and Youssef El Arabi won the Greek league with Olympiacos. Sofiane Amrabat won the FA Cup with his club Manchester United, and Hakim Ziyech won the Turkish league and the Turkish Super Cup with Galatasaray.

On the other hand, Yassine Bounou, the goalkeeper of the national team, won the Saudi Pro League “MBS Professional League” with his new club Al Hilal, and also achieved the titles of the Saudi King’s Cup and the Super Cup.

Diaz is the fifth Moroccan player to win the UEFA Champions League, following Tarik Oulida with Ajax Amsterdam in 1995, Munir El Haddadi with FC Barcelona in 2015, Achraf Hakimi with Real Madrid in 2018, and Hakim Ziyech with Chelsea in 2021.

This is the first time that a large number of Moroccan players from the national team have achieved success with their clubs.

A grand celebration is expected to be held for the decorated Moroccan players at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmoura, where they will prepare for the match against Zambia, which will take place next Friday at the Adrar Stadium in Agadir, as part of the third round of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

Fouzi Lekjaa, the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, and Walid Regragui, the coach of the national team, have both praised the players’ performances with their clubs, emphasizing that this is a source of pride and proof of the strength of Moroccan players.
