Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech and his team Galatasaray have clinched the championship title with a convincing 3-1 victory over Konyaspor in the 2023-2024 season of the Turkish league.
The triumph in the 38th and final round confirmed Galatasaray’s dominance, marking their 24th league title in the club’s history.

Ziyech joined Galatasaray on loan from Chelsea last summer. Since becoming part of the Turkish team, he has been a standout player for the Istanbul Lions throughout the season.
His loan agreement includes a purchase option, which could mean a permanent move to Galatasaray despite his contract with Chelsea running until June 2025.

Galatasaray’s victory followed a fierce battle, especially with their traditional rivals Fenerbahce.
The competition remained tense until the last match, but Galatasaray’s victory ensured they finished the league with 102 points, just three points more than Fenerbahce.
Although Ziyech was suspended for the final match due to an accumulation of yellow cards, his contributions throughout the season were crucial.

The Moroccan star participated in 18 league matches, scoring six goals and providing three assists. In all competitions combined, he played 23 matches, scored eight goals, and provided four assists.
The latest triumph adds to Ziyech’s impressive collection of titles, bringing his total career titles to eight.

Before his victory with Galatasaray, he won the Dutch league, the KNVB Cup, and the Johan Cruijff Shield with Ajax. He also won three major titles with Chelsea, including the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup.
With Galatasaray’s victory, the renowned Atlas Lion has now added the Turkish league and the Turkish Super Cup to his list of honors.

Ziyech is expected to return to the Moroccan national team for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers in June under coach Walid Regragui.
